Warrior FC ~ July 28, 2006 ~ Somerset, KY

Warrior Fighting Challenge hit Somerset for yet another great MMA event. Thanks to all the fans who came out for the event and to all the fighters for squaring off in the cage to make the event possible. A special thanks to Warrior FC for having us up to cover the event and a special congratulations to Nate Jolly on winning the GNP Fighter Of The Night Award. Warrior FC is one of the oldest MMA promotions in the state and is growing with every show, next time WFC hits Somerset, UFC Champion Matt Hughes will be in attendance as the special guest referee. If you have not made it to a WFC show you have no idea what you are missing. Visit www.warriorfc.com to find out about upcoming events and to purchase tickets.

Justin Moore vs Cecil Swinney
ROUND 1: The night started out with a pair of fighters demonstrating the ground skills of an MMA fighter with a 1 round grappling match. Both fighters worked hard the entire round, each attempting to submit the other but at every turn their game was shut down. After a hard fought 5 minutes neither fighter was able to gain a submission and the match was called a draw. I would have liked to see it go another round to see which fighter had the stamina to pull out a win
