Warrior Fighting Challenge - Middlesboro - June 3rd - 2006

This was one of the best Warrior FC events I have attended. Congrats to all the fighters on a great show and special congrats to the winners & Chris Brewer on winning the GNP Fighter OF The Night Award.

John Dillman DEF Bobby Rudder
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and John swings, Bobby ducks under and shoots in taking the fight to the ground getting back con troll and starts working a rear naked choke. John turns into it putting Bobby on his back and immediately starts working a kimura, Bobby tries to roll out and puts JOhn on his back but steps right into an arm bar, John starts cranking away and in seconds Bobby is forced to tap giving John the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and meet center ring and begin to slug it out with each landing solid shots to the head. Wesley then steps back plants his feet and throws a straight shot to the chin that knocks Clayton slam out giving Wesley the KO victory

John Levi DEF Rodney Keys
ROUND 1: The fighters meet center ring with each landing a shot to the head before clinching up and working for control. Rodney presses John against the cage working the clinch and in a few seconds takes John to the mat. Rodney works hard to drop down and gain control but John does an excelent job defending from the bottom as he scrambles around on his back keeping Rodney at bay. John then works back to his feet and begins hammering in shots to the head on his way up and continues pounding in shots until Rodney drops to the mat, John moves in and drops a few more shots before the ref steps in stopping the fight and giving John the TKO victory.

Derrick Philpof DEF John Anderson
ROUND 1: Derrick rushes across the ring and swings, John answers back landing a few shots to the head and driving Derrick back against the cage. Derrick attempts to roll out and escape the clinch but John comes back in landing a couple shots to the head that drop Derrick to the mat, John drops down into side mount and drops a few elbows to the head as he works for control on the ground. Derrick makes it to his knees and then clinches up driving John back against the cage with solid shots to the body, John turns Derrick putting him against the cage and the fighters work the clinch each trying to gain control, after a few seconds of neither getting the upper hand the ref breaks the fighters to restart the action and have the doc check a cut on John's head. The fighters circle for a few seconds, John moves in and lands a shot to the head, Derrick throws back a couple shots and the fighters clinch up with Derrick locking in a side head lock. Derrick hip tosses John to the mat and against the cage and begins to crank away on the head lock until John taps giving Derrick the submission victory.

Cecil Ward DEF Sean Fredrick
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle Cecil moves in and throws a kick to the body but Sean catches it and hammers in a couple shots to the head. Cecil backs away and Sean moves in where the fighters clinch up, Cecil locks in a guillotine and drives a couple knees to the head and then Sean pulls free of the choke and drives in a couple knees of his own, gets control of Cecil's head and takes the fight to the ground. Sean then steps over to full mount but John latches on to prevent the striking, as Sean attempts to posture up Cecil rolls out the back door and ends up taking Sean's back, Sean then backs out himself and stands but gets trapped in a guillotine on the way up. Sean then picks Cecil up and slams him to the mat but is still trapped in the choke. Sean then gets his head free but Cecil starts working a high guard for an arm bar or triangle choke. Sean rolls working to escape the submissions but in the end is forced to tap to a arm bar giving Cecil the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Jason moves in and swings and the fighters clinch up, Jason ducks down and starts driving for a take down but Jason locks in a guillotine choke as the fight goes to the ground. Jason then rolls Jason to his back and cranks away on the choke as Jason attempts to escape by hammering in a couple wild shots to the body. After a few seconds Jason starts to scramble on his back and then is forced to tap giving Jason the submission victory.

Wilferd Brittan DEF Allen Gambrel
ROUND 1: The fighters circle a bit with Allen throwing out a couple kicks and Wilferd answering back with a jab. They circle a bit more with Allen throwing a couple more kicks that fall short but then connects with a leg kick and a front kick to the body that causes Wilferd to move in and clinch. Wilferd then locks in a side head lock and starts working for a hip throw, after a couple seconds he scores the take down and steps over to full mount where he hammers in a few shots to the head as he works to posture up and rain in the groundnpound. Allen attempts to hold him in close to prevent the striking but after a few shots to the head Wilferd is able to posture up and drop a few heavy shots to the head before Allen attempts to buck free. Wilferd immediately drops back down regaining full control from the mount and continues dropping in shots to the head. Allen again pulls him in close but Wilferd keeps hammering in shots to the side of the head until from nowhere Allen reverses control and as the fighters roll Wilferd gets to his feet, as Allen is still on his knees Wilferd rushes back in and hammers in a solid shot to the head that drops Allen to the mat, Wilferd immediately drops down in side mount and begins hammering in more shots to the head, Allen pulls him in close and Wilferd steps over to full mount where he postures up and lands several more shots to the head causing the ref to stop the fight giving Wilferd the TKO victory.

Nick Milligan DEF Dustin Redmond
ROUND 1: Dustin rushes across the ring but Nick catches him and takes the fight to the mat. Nick hammers in a couple shots to the body as the fighters work to their feet and then Dustin picks Nick up and slams him to the mat. Dustin gets trapped in a guillotine choke on the way down but after a few seconds is able to pull free and start working for control from half guard. Dustin drops a couple shots to the head but Nick is able to get full guard and hold Dustin in close to prevent the striking. Nick then moves to a high guard and then slaps on an arm bar attempt, the fighters roll as Dustin attempts to escape,Dustin then drops in an illegal knee to the head and the ref separates the fighters giving Dustin a warning and then restarts the action standing. The fighters meet center ring where Nick lands a front kick to the body, the fighters then exchange a shot to the head and clinch up. Dustin then locks in a guillotine choke and pulls guard taking the fight to the ground where he begins working the choke. After a few seconds the bell sounds ending round 1 and saving Nick from having to escape the choke.
ROUND 2: Dustin rushes across the ring landing a flying knee, Nick then clinches up and gets trapped in a guillotine and picks Dustin up dumping him to the ground but is still trapped in the choke. After several seconds its clear the choke isnt working and the fight has stalled out so the ref separates the fighters and restarts them standing. Dustin comes in and lands a shot to the head, backs off and comes back in with another shot to the head before the fighters clinch up and begin working for control. Dustin lands a couple knees to the body and they push out of the clinch, Nick throws a kick to the head and then the fighters circle, Dustin throws a kick to the body but Nick catches it and then drives Dustin to the ground ending on top in half guard where he hammers in a couple shots to the side of the head. Dustin holds him in close to prevent striking but after a couple body shots Nick is able to posture up and drop a few shots to the head, Dustin pulls him back in close and Nick hammers in a few more shots to the body and takes full mount. Dustin then eats a few more shots to the head and body before he flips Nick putting him on his back and reversing control. Dustin lands a few shots to the body before he is able to posture up and hammer in a few to the head but then the bell sounds ending round 2 sending the fight into the final round.
ROUND 3: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle, they meet center ring each throwing a kick and then backing out and continuing to circle Dustin comes in and swings, Nick ducks under and shoots in driving Dustin to his back, Dustin locks in a guillotine and Nick lands several knees to the body in attempts to escape, after several seconds its clear the choke isnt working and the ref stands the fighters to restart the action. Dustin closes in and swings, the fighters clinch up and Dustin locks in another guillotine and takes the fight to the ground, the fighters roll and its Nick ending up on top but still locked in the choke. Nick throws a few knees to the lower thigh to try and escape the choke but then the bell sounds and the fight goes to the judges score cards which has Nick winning the fight by Judges Dec.

Justin Moore DEF Jerry Barron
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Jerry steps in with a solid shot to the chin that rocks Justin and drops him to the mat. Justin scrambles to his knees and locks up Jerry's legs and drives in taking Jerry to the ground. Jerry locks in a guillotine but Justin moves to side mount to release the pressure and then drops in several hard knees to the body. The fighters work themselves against the cage as they scramble for control and then up to their feet where Justin lifts Jerry up driving him back to the mat where Justin goes from side control to full mount, Justin postures up and hammers in a few shots to the head but then Jerry is able to pull him in close to prevent the striking. Justin then postures up once more and fakes throwing a punch and then takes Jerry's arm and rolls to an arm bar immediately forcing Jerry to tap giving Justin the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Ricky steps in and throws a couple shots to the head driving John back against the cage. The fighters clinch up and John takes it to the mat landing on top in half guard. John hammers in a few shots to the head and then Ricky reverses control putting John on his back and drops in several shots from above before stepping back and allowing John to get back to his feet. The fighters circle a bit before Ricky moves in with a front kick and a shot to the head, the fighters clinch up and Ricky takes the fight to the ground ending up on top in full guard, after a couple seconds Ricky drops back and starts working a heel hook but John grabs a leg and starts working a foot lock of his own. After several seconds the ref steps in and stands the fighters when its clear neither on is going to score the submission The fighters circle and Ricky steps in and lands a shot to the head and then backs out and circles a bit more. Ricky then moves back in with a shot to the head and the fighters clinch up, Ricky presses John against the cage and then John drops in a couple elbows to the back of the head causing the ref to separate the fighters and warn John of the illegal blows. After a few seconds Ricky is ready to continue, the fighters meet center ring and exchange a few shots before clinching up just as the bell sounds ending round 1.
ROUND 2: The fighters touch gloves and circle, they meet center ring each throwing out a kick and then separate and circle some more. Ricky comes in and lands a few solid shots to the head and backs out just as John swings to answer back. John then moves in hammers a couple shots to the head and the fighters continue to circle, John moves back in and lands several shots to the head driving Ricky back, the fighters clinch up and Ricky presses John against the cage, John hammers in a few shots to the body and then Ricky drives for a take down but John sprawls out and then takes Ricky's back as the fighters go to the ground. John immediately starts hammering in shots to the side of the head and then moves in for the rear naked choke, after a few seconds Ricky is forced to tap giving John the submission victory.

Zach Earles DEF Aaron Trammel
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and Aaron ducks in shooting for a take down but Zach meets him with several shots to the head and a knee that lands on the chin. Aaron keeps driving in and Zach continues to hammer in shots to the head as he defends the take down. After eating several shots to the head Aaron decides to clinch up, Zach throws a knee but catches Aaron in the groin, Aaron was not wearing a cup and not able to continue the fight giving Zach the TKO victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and Shane comes out swinging landing several shots to the head, Todd throws a few shots to the body but is getting caught with a lot of shots to the head as well as a couple knees, the fighters then push off and separate and begin to circle. Todd moves forward and Shane catches him with another flurry of shots to the head as the fighters clinch up. Todd is throwing several wild punches to the body and Shane is measuring off knees to the head, Shane catches a solid knee to Todd's head that rocks him and pushes out and hammers in a couple shots to the head that drop Todd to the mat giving Shane the KO victory.

Buddy Morgan DEF Andrew Gambrel
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Buddy moves in and Andrew meets him with several shots to the head, Buddy backs out and Andrew keeps moving forward and lands another flurry of shots to the head that cause Buddy to clinch up, the fighters then start working for control and Andrew lands a couple more shots to the head. Buddy then pushes off and comes back in hammering in a few shots to the head as the fighters start to exchange blows. Buddy continues moving forward throwing shots to the head, Buddy then catches Andrew with a kick to the body that drops him to the mat, Buddy immediately moves in and drops a few more shots to the head, Andrew gets him in his guard but Buddy lays in some heavy elbows to the head, postures up and throws several more shots to the head. Andrew attempts to pull him in close but Buddy drops a few more elbows that cause Andrew to tap to the strikes giving Buddy the TKO victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Daniel moves in to swing but Chad ducks under and scores a slam putting Daniel on his back. Chad drops a couple shots to the head before Daniel makes it back to his knees and drives for a take down putting Chad on his back. Daniel hammers in several shots to the head before Chad locks in a kimura, after a couple seconds the ref stops the fight thinking Daniel's arm may be in danger of breaking. Daniel complains to the ref he didnt tap and the ref restarts the fighters on the ground with the kimura still locked in, with in seconds Daniel is forced to tap giving Chad the submission victory.

ROUND 1: Doug moves in at the bell and eats a shot to the head, the fighters clinch up and the fight goes to the ground, Chris locks in a guillotine as the fighters work back to their knees and then to their feet. Chris cranks away on the choke and the fighters fall back to the mat, DOug starts hammering in shots to the body and head trying to escape and then Chris works back to his knees with the choke still locked in Doug starts hammering in shots to the body and lands a few on the spine, the ref stalls the fighters and warns DOug and the action continues.The fighters roll a bit and Chris ends up on his back with the choke still locked in, Doug then drives a few knees to the body trying to escape and eventually gets his head free. Doug drives in a few more knees to the body but Chris has him held tight to prevent the striking, Chris then reverses control putting Doug against the cage where he hammers in several shots to the head, Doug then stands and gets trapped in another guillotine, the fighters work for control and Chris puts him against the cage and hammers in a few shots to the head. Doug circles off the cage and pushes back creating distance and the fighters begin to circle. Doug throws a high kick and slips, Chris moves in and the fighters clinch up as Doug makes it back to his feet. Doug then takes the fight to the ground with a side head lock and hammers in a few shots to the head, Chris makes it back to his feet and lands a shot to the head that causes Doug to turn and flee, Chris chases him down and hammers in a couple more shots to the head as the fighters clinch against the cage and begin working for control just as the bell sounds ending round 1.
ROUND 2: The fighters circle and clinch up, Chris scores a big slam and then immediately moves in for a rear naked choke that causes Doug to tap giving Chris the submission victory.

Matt Busll DEF Wilton Banks
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and Matt comes in swinging, the fighters clinch up and Matt hammers in a couple more shots to the head and several to the body as the fighters work for control. Wilton answers back with a shot to the head but then Matt lands another solid shot to the head and then sinks in a guillotine choke. The fighters go to the ground and then scramble to their knees, Wilton locks in a guillotine and after a few seconds the fighters work back to their feet Matt lands a solid knee from in the clinch that takes the fight back to the mat with Wilton on top but then they work back to their feet again and Matt hammers in several upper cuts as they work themselves against the cage. Wilton pushes off and comes out swinging driving Matt backwards, Matt answers back with several shots of his own. Matt then comes back in and lands several solid shots to the head that drop Wilton to the mat giving Matt the KO victory.

ROUND 1: Chris moves straight across the ring, clinches up and throws Josh to the ground landing on top. Josh throws a couple shots to the head from the bottom and Chris works from half guard to full mount. Chris then postures up and hammers in several shots to the head causing Josh to latch on and try to pull him in close to prevent the striking but Chris continues to hammer in solid shots to the head causing Josh to tap to the strikes giving Chris the TKO victory.

Jay Page DEF Charles Allen
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle, Charles throws out a shot to the head and Jay shots in for a take down causing Charles to sprawl out and the fight goes to the ground. Jay continues to drive in until he gets Charles on his back, Charles attempts to lock in a guillotine but Jay is able to work back to his feet and escape the choke, from the clinch Charles drops a couple illegal elbows to the head causing the ref to separate the fighters and give Charles a warning and then restart the action. Jay shoots back in and takes Charles to the ground, the fighters work for control which ends with Jay getting full mount and that causes Charles to turn and give up his back. Jay hammers in a couple shots to the head, Charles rolls to get free but Jay sinks in his hooks and rides it out, Charles goes back to his knees and Jay continues hammering in shots to the head until Charles taps to the strikes giving Jay the TKO victory.

Jeff Chapman DEF Kelvin Stokes
ROUND 1: Kelvin comes in with a front kick, Jeff pushes him back and moves forward driving Kelvin against the cage, the fighters clinch up and begin to work for control but then push off and start to circle. Kelvin comes in with a leg kick and the fighters circle a bit more each throwing out a kick that falls short. Jeff then rushes in swinging and drives Kelvin against the cage where they clinch up and Jeff throws a few knees to the body. The fighters continue to work for control in the clinch until Jeff scores a judo throw putting Kelvin on his back. Jeff hammers in a few shots to the head but Kelvin controls his arms and reduces the amount of shots Jeff can throw, Jeff then grabs a foot and falls back working an ankle lock or heel hook, for a few seconds Kelvin doesnt seem to be in any danger but then he starts to roll and throw several kicks from the ground trying to escape and seems to be in pain from the foot lock and then the bell sounds ending round 1 and saving Kelvin from any submissions
ROUND 2: Kelvin moves in and lands a leg kick and then follows it up with a shot to the head, Jeff closes and clinches, the fighters push off and Jeff shoots back in and takes Kelvin to the ground. Jeff hammers in a couple elbows to the body from side mount and then scores a key lock and cranks away causing Kelvin to tap giving Jeff the submission victory.

ROUND 1: Chase throws a high kick and it gets caught and John takes him to the ground, the fighters work for control on the ground and Chase throws a couple shots from the bottom as John moves him back against the cage. John then hammers in several shots to the body as Chase holds him in close to prevent the hard striking. Chase then throws a few shots to the head from below which allow John to create some distance and drop a couple hard shots to the head. Chase then pulls him back in close and after a few seconds the ref separates the fighters to restart the action. John moves in and Chase lands a solid shot to the head as John clinches up and takes the fight to the ground. John hammers in several body shots as Chase holds him in close to reduce striking and after a few seconds the ref stands the fighters again to get the action going. John moves in, Chase throws a reverse round house but John ducks under and takes the fight back to the ground. Again Chase holds John in tight and John is only able to throw a few body shots and the fight stalls out so the ref stands them once more. John rushes in and this time is caught in a guillotine as Chase falls back to the mat pulling guard, within a few seconds John is forced to tap giving Chase the submission victory.

ROUND 1: Ralph connects with a shot to the head and the fighters clinch up, Michael attempts to get the fight to the ground but Ralph sprawls as Michael drops to his knees. Ralph moves around to take Michael's back and hammers in a solid shot to the head that causes Michael to cover up on the ground. Ralph hammers in another shot to the head and a kick to the body causing the ref to step in and stop the fight giving Ralph the TKO victory.

Jeremy Linville DEF BJ Hickson
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle, BJ loads up to throw a punch and Jeremy shoots in and takes BJ to the mat, BJ locks in a guillotine but Jeremy steps over to full mount and begins working to escape the choke, after a few seconds Jeremy gets his head free and postures up and begins to hammer in shots to the head causing BJ to roll and give up his back. Jeremy hammers in several shots to the head as BJ works to get back to his feet but Jeremy continues striking the whole time landing several shots before BJ can stand. BJ then fires off a few solid shots to the head that cause Jeremy to back away and as the fighters circle the ref sees BJ's glove tape has come loose and calls time out to re tape the glove before restarting the action. The fighters meet center ring and it goes to the ground where Jeremy catches BJ in a rear naked choke and forces him to tap giving Jeremy the submission victory

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and James shoots in driving for a take down, Hobert sprawls defending and the fighters work to their knees where Hobert hammers in a couple shots to the body. James then drives in taking the fight to the ground and the fighters roll for control ending with James on his back. Hobert hammers in a few shots to the head as James works for control off his back, the fighters scramble on the ground , Hobert hammers in a couple more shots to the head and James begins to work a high guard looking for a triangle choke or control of an arm. James then locks in an arm bar and the fighters roll to the mat, in seconds Hobert taps giving James the submission victory via arm bar.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and begin to slug it out as they exchange shots center ring, Danny clinches up and attempts to throw Chris to the mat but Chris stays in control and comes down on top of Danny landing in side mount. Danny holds Chris in tight to prevent the strikes but Chris still manages to fire off several shots to the head and body from side mount. Chris then steps over to full mount and begins to hammer in solid shots to the head, Danny turns giving up his back but Chris continues with solid shots to the head causing the ref to stop the fight giving Chris the TKO victory in under a minute.
