KFC - WFC Joint Event March 4 - 2006

This was the first show I am aware of where two promotions teamed up to put on an event. Both the Kentucky Fighting Challenge and Warrior Fighting Challenge are well known for putting on great shows and providing the fans with action packed match ups. This show was no exception, every fight ended in the first round with a wide variety of outcomes ranging from knockouts to tap outs to tko ref stoppages. Many fighters stepped in the cage for their first time and even though it was a quick night it was a great show non the less.

Congratulations to John Miller on winning the GNP Fighter Of The Night award walking away with a great looking award and a knock out victory.

John Hiser VS Eric Iseral
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle, John throws first but misses, Eric returns a shot to the head that rocks John sending him stumbling back. Eric rushes in and the fighters start exchanging heavy shots to the head that ends with Eric connecting square on the chin and sending John to the mat. Eric closes in for the kill but as he goes to the ground John is able to work around and take Eric's back. Eric turns giving up the mount and has John held in close but John is able to break free and start landing shots from above, John lands a few more shots before standing up and allowing Eric to get back to his feet as well and the fighters restart the action. They circle for a few seconds, Eric comes in with a kick to the body that is blocked and John answers back with a shot to the head that sends Eric to the ground, John rushes in and works into full mount where he begins pounding away until the ref steps in to stop the fight giving John the victory via TKO.

Jason Carrier VS Dewayne Stone
ROUND 1: The fighters circle and Dewayne rushes in to the clinch and pulls the fight to the ground, Jason ends up on top taking full mount and working Dewayne over to the cage. Dewayne has a tight grip on Jason to prevent any striking but after a few seconds Jason is able to work free and lands several shots to the head causing Dewayne to tap out to the strikes giving Jason the victory via submission.

Kellen Winburn VS Clayton Jones
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Kellen lands first connecting with a few shots to the head, Kellen then shoots in taking Clayton to the ground where he begins to land a few more but Clayton sits to try and free himself but lands in a guillotine choke, Kellen falls back, cranks away and Clayton is forced to tap giving Kellen a quick submission victory.

JD Bowling VS Donald Inman
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and JD charges in putting Donald against the cage. JD connects with a couple solid shots that cause Donald to circle out and flee with a verbal submission, JD catches up and lands another shot sending Donald to the mat before the ref steps in to stop the fight giving JD the submission victory in only 8 seconds.

William Pedigo VS Mitch Keiser
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and William shoots in taking Mitch to the mat ending in full mount, Mitch turns giving up his back and William rides it out landing shots to the side of the head. Mitch escapes out the back pulling William's legs and reversing position ending up on top, the fighters work for control and William has Mitch pulled in tight to avoid striking, William then turns giving up his back and Mitch locks on attempting a rear naked choke picking William up and then falling back but William is able to turn landing on top in full mount where he begins to hammer in a few shots to the head. Mitch pulls him in close to prevent the striking but William still manages to land a few elbows to the head and a couple body shots. After a few more shots to the head William attempts a key lock from the mount causing Mitch to tap giving William the victory via submission.

John Miller VS Rickey Grubb
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and John comes right in landing a couple shots to the head, Rickey circles off and then they meet center ring and exchange a few shots. Rickey comes in and swings, John ducks under shooting in pushing Rickey against the cage, Rickey rolls out pushing John against the cage and throws a shot to the head as he pushes off. The fighters circle, Rickey comes in landing a few jabs to t he face causing John to shoot in for a take down but it is Rickey who side steps slinging John to the mat. Rickey jumps down and lands a couple shots to the head causing JOhn to turn giving up his back, Rickey tries to lock in a rear naked choke but John tucks in to defend causing Rickey o throw a few shots to the side of the head to try and loosen him up. Rickey then spikes a illegal elbow into the back of John's head causing the ref to step in, give Rickey a warning and restart the action standing. John comes out swinging landing a couple shots to the face causing Rickey to clinch and attempt a take down, John throws a few uppercuts before the fighters go to the mat and roll into a north south position where John hammers in a few more shots to the head. The fighters work to their feet in a clinch and John lands a couple knees to the head and presses Rickey against the cage where he hammers in several more solid uppercuts to the head, Rickey has hold of one leg and is driving to get a take down but John is able to defend it and the fighters push off and restart the action standing. John comes in landing a solid shot to the head and Rickey
moves in to clinch pushing John against the cage. Rickey pushes off and John moves right in landing a couple shots driving Rickey against the cage, John continues hammering in shots to the head as Rickey tries to move off the cage and away from the strikes but it is no use as John keeps on him until he scores the knock out shot dropping Rickey to the ground and winning the fight via KO.

Todd Brinegar VS Tim Purdue
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and then meet center ring and begin to slug it out, after several shots thrown by each fighter they clinch and it goes to the ground where Todd ends up on top in side control and continues to hammer in shots to the head. Tim works through it and begins working back to his feet taking control of a leg and driving to reverse position but Todd just steps out and pushes off. The ref warns Todd about strikes to the back of the head giving Tim a chance to regain composure and then the ref starts them back standing. They meet center ring once more and exchange a few shots to the head before Todd clinches up taking Tim to the mat again ending in top side control. After a few seconds Tim is unable to escape and taps out giving Todd the submission victory.

Justin Moore VS Jason Bowling
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Jason rushes in and Justin takes control taking him to the mat against the cage. Jason attempts to hold Justin in close to prevent striking but Justin hammers in a few shots here and there until he is able to break free and finish up with GROUNDNPOUND causing Justin to verbally tap giving Jason the submission victory

Donnie Wallace VS Harold Hoskins
ROUND 1: Donnie shoots in right at the bell getting a single leg and driving for a take down, Donnie drives Harold against the cage and Harold works back to his feet. Donnie then picks up Harold for a slam taking him to the ground ending up in half guard. Harold has a guillotine choke locked in and is attempting to submit Donnie but after a few seconds Donnie steps over to full mount and frees his head, Donnie then postures up and begins to hammer in the GROUNDNPOUND causing Harold to tap out to the strikes giving Donnie the submission victory.

Dean Wilson VS Jonathon Hines
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Jonathon throws a leg kick and the fighters clinch up and begin working for control, Dean throws a couple shots to the body before pressing Jonathon against the cage and then picks him up slamming him to the ground. Jonathon has control of Dean's arms and has him in full guard preventing the striking and after several seconds Jonathon attempts a front choke. Dean is able to pull free but due to inactivity the ref stands the fighters to restart the action. Dean comes in and swings, Jonathon ducks under and the fighters clinch up. Dean takes the fight back to the ground ending on top and immediately goes for a forearm choke that causes Jonathon to tap out giving Dean the submission victory.

Kat Johnson VS Tina Kirby
ROUND 1: Kat comes out lands 2 shots to the head and drops Tina to the mat, then she stands tall and allows Tina to get back to her feet before starting to circle, Kat then lands a solid kick to the body and follows up with 3 more quick kicks to the body. Tina comes in cocked and ready to throw a punch but is wide open and before she can unload Kat hammers in a shot to the face causing a knock out and winning the fight without getting hit once.
