Gladiator Fighting Championships 7 - July 22 ~ 2006

This was an awesome event with several action packed fights. I want to thank all the fighters for a great show and a special thanks to Eddie & Anthony Trotter for putting it all together. Thanks to all the fans who showed up for the show and congrats to all the winners. If you missed this event be sure to catch the next GFC!

Angello Massielo DEF Jonathan Madden
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Angello throws out a couple jabs and then shoots in taking the fight to the ground. Jonathan holds him in close to prevent the striking but after a few shots to the body Angello is able to get his head free and begins to posture up but Jonathan turns giving up his back. Angello imediatly sinks in his hooks and locks on a rear naked choke, in seconds Jonathan is forced to tap giving Angello the submission victory.

Josh Holbrock DEF Brandon Crace
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and Josh imediatly fires off a couple shots to the head driving Brandon back against the cage. Josh continues hammering in shots to the head and drops Brandon to the mat, Josh goes down to finish the fight but Brandon is able to scramble back to his feet and the fighters continue working off the cage as to action continues. Josh then circles out and throws a couple shots before the fighters clinch back up and exchange a couple knees while working for controll. Josh pushes out of the clinch and comes back in swinging landing a couple heavy shots to the headas Brandon tries to escape but is closed off by the cage, the fighters then clinch up and Brandon pulls guard bringing the fight to the ground. Josh steps over to full mount and after breaking free of Brandon's grip postures up and hammers in some solid shots to the head causing Brandon to turn giving up his back. Josh starts to work a rear naked choke but then just pulls Brandon back to the mat and takes side controll where he drops several thundering elbows to the head untill Brandon taps to the strikes giving Josh the TKO victory.

Hubert Brock DEF Bobby Mines
ROUND 1: Hubert rushes straight across the ring swinging and landing shots to the head. Bobby circles out and swings but Hubert ducks under and then fires off a couple more shots to the head. Bobby throws a front kick that falls short and Hubert answers back with a couple shots to the head and a kick to the body that drop Bobby to the mat. Hubert jumps down in place taking side mount and unloads several shots to the head and all Bobby can do is hold his arms up in an attempt to block the flurry of shots that are raining down. Bobby is finaly able to work Hubert into his guard and pull him in close to slow the action a bit and stop the shots from dropping down. After a few seconds Hubert postures up and drops a couple more shots before he stands and takes a step back, just as Bobby starts to stand Hubert moves in landing a solid shot to the head that drops Bobby back to the mat. Hubert drops down and is caught in half guard, Bobby tries to tie up his arms but Hubert is able to fire off a few solid elbows to the head before Bobby is able to back out and escape but as soon as he starts to stand Hubert meets him with a solid upper cut that sends him flying back down to the mat. Bobby tries to stand a couple more times but each time he gets halfway up Hubert meets him with a solid shot that sends him flaying back to the mat, finaly Bobby's corner has seen enough and throws in the towell giving Hubert the TKO victory.

Brandon Howard DEF Mike Corbit
ROUND 1: The fighters meet center ring and Brandon imediatly gets a waist lock from behind and picks Mike up and slams him to the mat. Mike lands belly down and Brandon imediatly starts hammering in shots to the head from behind, Mike scrambles and is able to get to his feet but Brandon locks in a rear naked choke and jumps up on Mike's back as the fighters lean against the cage. Brandon continues working the chokeuntill Mike drops to the matwith Brandon landing on top with the choke still locked in. Brandon keeps working the choke as Mike tries to roll to escape, Brandon flattens him out and then postures up and hammers in several shots to the head as Mike lies belly down on the mat. Mike gets to his hands and knees but Brandon is locked on his back and continues hammering in shots to the head. Mike just covers up as Brandon keeps landing shots to the head, Brandon attempts to sink the choke a couple more times but returns to hammering in shots to the head untill the bell sounds ending round 1.
ROUND 2: Brandon imediatly shoots in for a take down but Mike defends and the fighters begin working the clinch, Mike lands a couple shots to the head and Brandon a couple knees to the body and head and then drops down shooting in and taking Mike to the ground where he lands in side controll. Mike traps a leg getting Brandon into half guard but Brandon hammers in a few shots along the way and then breaks the guard and steps over to full mount and drops a couple more shots to the head. Mike then turns giving up his back but also locks in a side head lock on Brandon and holds him in close to prevent any striking. After a couple seconds Brandon breaks free and jumps on Mike's back sinking in a rear naked choke. Mike tries to roll through to get free but Brandon has both the choke and his hooks sunk in deep and holds on as Mike rolls. Mike attempts to get free but after a few seconds is forced to tap giving Brandon the submission victory.

Larry Looney DEF Paul Hall
ROUND 1: The fighters meet center ring and exchange a few shots before Larry drops in to shoot and Paul sprawls out to defend as the fighters go to their knees. The fighters then scramble on the ground as Larry gains controll and puts Paul on his back, Paul then works up the cage and back to his feet but Larry sinks in a guillotine and pulls guard taking the fight back to the ground. Seconds later Paul is forced to tap giving Larry the submission victory.

Sean Beller DEF Kenny Kretzer
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle, Sean throws out a leg kick and Kenny moves in throwing a couple shots to the head before he scoop slams Sean to the mat. Sean lands a couple blows from the bottom and Kenny lands a few from the top as the fighters work for controll on the ground, Sean tries holding Kenny in to prevent to many strikes from taking place after several seconds go by Sean attempts an arm bar but Kenny pulls free and after a short scramble the fighters end up back in the same position with Kenny on top. Kenny lands several more shots to the head and Sean a few light shots from the bottom but neither is causing too much damage as they finish the round out on the ground working for controll.
ROUND 2: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle when Sean throws a leg kick, Kenny shoots in and picks Sean up and dumps him to the mat starting round 2 off where they finished round 1 with Kenny on top. Sean holds Kenny in close and drives a few knees to the body as Kenny tries to work from side controll to full mount. Sean works to get Kenny into his guard and peppers in a few shots to the head from below, Kenny drops a couple head shots from above but not much action is taking place so after several seconds go by the ref decides to stand the fighters to get things going. The fighters meet center ring, each throw a punch to the head and then Kenny slaps on a guillotine and pulls guard taking the fight back to the ground. Aftr a few seconds Sean is able to get his head free and he starts dropping a few solid elbows to the head and a couple body shots as Kenny works to tie him up to prevent the striking. Sean breaks free and postures up hammering in solid elbows to the head and a few body shots, Kenny attempts to go for an arm bar but Sean just pulls free and drops back in slamming in elbows to the head. Kenny then backs out and turns over onto his hands and knnes, Sean stands up and holds Kenny down with one hand as he hammers in shots to the head and body with the other. Sean continues to hammer in several solid shots along with a couple kicks to the body as the bell sounds ending round 2.
ROUND 3: The fighters touch gloves, Sean throws a front kick and Kenny a looping right, Sean ducks the punch and shoots in and takes Kenny to the mat where he ends up on his knees covering up as Sean drops in taking his back and begins to work a rear naked choke. Sean hammers in several shots to the head as he works to soften Kenny up for the choke, Kenny starts trying to back out and gets his head trapped in Sean's legs. Sean hammers in a few more shots to the head and then for some reason the ref decides to stand the fighters. The fighters clinch up, Sean thrrows a couple knees to the head and shots to the body and then Kenny rushes him against the cage using the force to bounce him off the cage and sling him to the ground and ends up on top where Sean pulls him in close to prevent the striking. The fighters exchange a few shots on the ground with Kenny on top but no serious damage is taking place as the round ends and the fight goes to the judges where Sean recieves a split decision victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters meet center ring, Riley throws a front kick and Jonathan rushes in landing a shot to the head and then clinching up, Riley then scores a judo throw taking Jonathan to the mat and landing on top. Jonathan holds him in close to prevent the striking and after several seconds the ref moves in to stand the fighters and restart the action. Riley then goes to throw a kick and slips landing on the ground on his knees, Jonathan rushes in and hammers in a several shots to the head before taking his back where he starts working a rear naked choke. Riley tries to escape but within a few seconds is forced to tap giving Jonathan the submision victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Willard throws out a front kick and then the fighters exchange a couple shots before clinching up and taking the fight to the ground, the fighters roll and Chris ends up on top. Chris steps over to full mount and begins hammering in shots to the head, Willard covers up but several shots are getting through. Willard attempts to buck free of the mount but Chris stays in controll and on top. Willard throws a few shots from the bottom and Chris hammers in a few more from above as the fighters move around on the mat with Willard attempting to get free of the mount. Chris kepps dropping bombs from above and after the fighters work up against the cage Chris unleashes several elbows and punches to the head untill the ref steps in to stop the fight giving Chris the TKO victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Jason shoots in and drives Luke against the cage and then takes him to the ground. Jason then steps over to full mount and Luke turns giving up his back, Jason slaps on a rear naked choke and in seconds Luke taps giving Jason the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters meet center ring and exchange a shot to the head before Jon drops in to shoot for a take down, Garland sprawls out and the fighters go to the ground on their knees. The fighters work back to their feet and Garland hammers in a few body shots along the way, Jon answers back with a couple body shots in the clinch, Garland then locks in a guillotine and falls back attempting to pull guard but the fighters roll on the ground and make it back to their knees with Garland still trying to sink the guillotine. The fighters get back to their feet and Jon gets free of the choke and swings wild but misses, Garland clinches back up and the fighters go back to the ground, Garland ends up on his belly and Jon takes his back locking in a rear naked choke, seconds later Garland is forced to tap giving Jon the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Jack shoots in but Corey latches on a guillotine and jumps up locking in a standing guard while leaning back against the cage. Corey then releases the choke and returns to a standing position, Corey pushes out of the clinch and circles off the cage and the action continues. Corey starts to move back in and Jack drops down and clinches up taking Corey to the ground against the cage. Jack hammers in several shots to the body as Corey scrambles around on the mat trying to get up off his back, Corey then works the cage to get back on his feet and then takes Jack to the mat landing on top. Jack works back up to his knees and then turns Corey putting him against the cage and drops a couple more shots to the body. Corey then uses the cage to get back to his feet and pushes out of the clinch, Jack rushes back in and clinches up but Corey pushes him back and the action continues. the fighters come together and exchange a couple shots to the head before Corey slings Jack to the mat, Corey rushes in but Jack makes it back to his knees and grabs Corey's legs and starts working to take him down. Corey starts to hammer in solid elbows to the ribs, the fighters make it back to their feet and Corey continues hammering in shots to the side and ribs untill Jack taps to the strikes giving Corey the TKO victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters meet center ring, Dan throws out a couple jabs and Jack closes in and clinches up. Dan picks Jack up and slams him to the mat ending in side controll where he hammers in several shots to the head before he steps over to full mount. Dan then postures up and hammers in all kinds of shots to the head, Jack covers but several shots are getting through, Jack then pulls Dan in close to stop the strikes but after a few seconds Dan gets free and continues hammering in shots to the head causing Jack to turn giving up his back. Dan continues hammering in shots to the head and after a few seconds Jack tries to roll out but Dan locks in a rear nacked choke and rolls to his back, after a few seconds Jack is forced to tap giving Dan the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and begin to circle, Ryan comes in swinging and the fighters clinch up, Donny takes the fight to the ground where Ryan lands on his belly and Donny takes his back and begins working a rear naked choke. Ryan scramlbes and rolls to his back and then reverses position putting Donny on his back where the fighters exchange a few shots to the head. Donny pulls Ryan in tight to prevent the striking and Ryan is only able to land a couple shots so he stands with Donny still latched on and then slams him into the mat but Donny holds tight and is still keeping Ryan's striking to a minumum. Ryan then latches on a guillotine from the top and rolls over to crank away but Donny breaks free and postures up where he is free to hammer in several shots to the head causing Ryan to turn away from the strikes giving up his back, Donny lands a few more shots to the head before Ryan sneaks out the back and rolls Donny onto his back and then falls back down into side controll. Ryan then throws an illegal knee to the head so the ref comes in and stands the fighters giving Ryan a warning about knees to the head while on the ground. Donny throws out a front kick, the fighters exchange a shot to the head and then clinch, Ryan throws a knee to the body and then takes Donny to the mat landing in side controll where he hammers in a few shots to the head. Donny then works to get Ryan in his guard just as the bell sounds ending round 1.
ROUND 2: Ryan rushes in with a front kick that falls short and then the fighters exchange a few shots to the head that end with Donny connecting with a shot that knocks Ryan to the ground. Donny rushes in and the fighters scramble on the ground and end up with Donny on his back with a guillotine choke and Rayn in side controll dropping knees to the body. Ryan then gets his head free and hammers in several shots to the head before Donny is able to spin around to get clear of the shots, Ryan stands and Vis on his back so Ryan backs away and motions for Donny to get to his feet so the action can continue. The fighters circle and then come together in an exchange of shots to the head, Ryan then gets a head lock and scores a judo throw taking Donny to the ground where he keeps the head lock in place and begins cranking away untill Donny taps giving Ryan the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and Chris swings, the fighters exchange a couple shots and then clinch up, Billy scores a hip toss taking Chris to the ground and landing on top in side controll with a head lock on. Chris throws several shots from the bottom as he works his way to his knees and then puts Billy on his back. After a couple seconds Chris gets his head free and begins hammering in shots to the head, after several shots land Billy turns giving up his back. Chris starts working a rear naked choke and hammers in several more shots to the head to soften Billy up before finaly sinking in the choke and cranking away causing Billy to tap giving Chris the submission victory.

ROUND 1: Mark starts it off with a flying knee, the fighters clinch up and Mark locks in a guillotine and then falls back pulling guard. Mark hammers in a few shots to the body as Jeremy tries to get free and then from nowhere Mark rolls Jeremy to his back, postures up and begins hammering in shots to the head. After several solid shots are landed Jeremy turns giving up his back, Mark imediatly starts working a rear naked choke and in seconds Jeremy is forced to tap giving Mark the submission victory.

ROUND 1: Dean comes in swinging landing a couple shots to the head and then followes up with a roundhouse kick to the head, Dean then hammers in a solid shot to the head that drops Mike to the mat. Dean rushes in but Mike is able to get back to his feet and the action continues as Dean comes forward landing a couple more shots to the head. Mike then shoots in for a take down but gets trapped in a guillotine choke, Dean cranks away lifting Mike off the ground with the choke untill he taps giving Dean the submission victory.

Jason Wolf DEF Brandon Blair
ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Jason throws out a couple jabs and then shoots in driving Brandon back against the cage. Jason then picks Brandon up and slams him to the mat landing in side controll but Brandon locks in a guillotine on the way down and holds tight to prevent the striking. After a few seconds Jason is able to get his head free and starts dropping elbows to the face. Brandon tries to hold him in close but Jason is able to posture up and begins hammering shots to the head as Brandon scrambles to get free, then just as Jason is dropping a shot to the head Brandon baccks out and stands very quickly escaping the barrage of punches on the ground. The fighters clinch up and Jason starts working a guillotine, after several seconds of working the choke and throwing a few knees Brandon is able to get free of the guillotine. As starts to push out of the clinch Jason gets a hold of him and takes him back to the ground ending in his guard. Jason is able to get off a few short shots to the head but Brandon is holding him in close to prevent much damage as they finish out the round with Jason on top and in controll.
ROUND 2: The fighters touch gloves and jason takes the fight right back to the ground ending in side controll, Jason then throws a short knee to the head and the ref stands the fighters and instructs the judges to deduct a point for the illegal blow.Brandon throws a jab and Jason rushes in taking the fight back to the ground again, this time Brandon is able to reverse controll and put Jason on his back. Brandon throws a few shots to the head and then out of nowhere Jason gets an arm and rolls into an arm bar forcing Brandon to tap giving Jason the submission victory.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves, Scott throws out a front kick and Matt closes in, clinches up and takes Scott to the groundMatt throws a couple shots to the head as he works from half guard to full mount and then starts hammering in shots to the head. Matt attempts a rear naked choke a couple times but is relentless with the shots to the face and side of the head leaving a pool of blood under Scott and leaving Scott no choice but to verbaly submit giving Matt the TKO victory.

Josh Stepp DEF Ian Boxhorn
ROUND 1: Ian comes straight in looking for a take down, JOsh meets him with a shot to the head and then takes the fight to the ground, the fighters scramble on the ground and then back to their feet where Ian scores a judo throw and takes Josh to the mat. After a couple seconds Josh just pushes Ian off of him and stands back up, Josh then hammers in a few shots to the head causing Ian to back up. Ian tries to clinch but Josh lands a couple knees to the head, the last of which send Ian flying backward and to the mat. Josh closes in but Ian is able to get to his feet and the fighters clinch against the cage, they exchange a few shots in the clinch while they work for controll but after several seconds the ref seperates the fighters to restart the action. The fighters meet center ring and exchange a shot before going to the ground where they roll working for controll, Josh ends up on top with Ian against the cage, Josh hammers in a couple shots to the head before he steps over to full mount and then drops a couple more before Ian turns giving up his back and Josh attempts a rear naked choke. Ian defends the choke and Josh hammers in several more shots trying to soften Ian up for the choke as the bell sounds ending round 1.
ROUND 2: Ian comes across attempting a front kick but eats a shot to the face, Ian then throws and connects with a leg kick and Josh answers back with another shot to the head before the fighters clinch against the cage. The fighters work off the cage each one trying to get the other to the mat and in the end its Ian who ends up on his back with Josh in his guard. Josh hammers in a couple shots to the body as Ian works a guillotine choke but after a few seconds Josh gets his head free, Josh postures up to hammer in shots to the head but Ian tries to slap on a triangle choke. Josh pulls out of the choke and comes back down with a solid shot to the head and ends up in side controll where he lands a few more head shots causing Ian to turn and give up his back. Josh throws a couple more punches to the head and then flips Ian over while staying in side controll. Josh hammers down a few more shots to the head and while Ian is trying to defend them Josh locks in a key lock forcing Ian to tap giving Josh the submision victory and championship.

ROUND 1: Stoney comes out and lands a one two shot that drops Ricky to the mat, SToney drops in to hammer down a couple more shots just as the the ref steps in and Ricky's corner throws in the towel. Stoney wins in impresive fashion by KO, Ref Stoppage and his opponents corner throwing in the towel all at once. Stoney also wins the GNP Fighter Of The Night and retains his GFC Championship.

ROUND 1: The fighters touch gloves and circle, Greg throws out a leg kick and they circle a bit more. Greg lands a solid shot to the head and then Josh shhots in working for a take down, the fighters clinch up and work their way back against the cage. Greg throws a few shots while Josh continues to work on getting the fight to the ground but the action has come to a stall and the ref decides to seperate and restart the fighters. Josh imediatly drops down taking a leg and eats a couple shots to the face as he gets Greg on his back, Josh throws a few punches and knees to the body before stepping over to full mount and dropping a few solid shots to the head. Greg tries to hold Josh in close but Josh creates distance and hammers in several punches and elbows to the head, Josh then moves back to side mount and hammers in a few more shots to the head along with a few knees to the body. Josh finishes out the round on top hammering in solid elbows and punches to the head along with a couple more knees to the body as the fighters head into round 2.
ROUND 2: The fighters circle, Josh shoots in and Greg sprawls out while dropping a couple shots to the head. Josh tries to spin around and the fighters seperate and make it back to their feet, Greg throws a couple shots to the head and the fighters clinch for a second and then push out and circle once more. Josh shoots in again and this time scores the take down getting Greg to his back, Josh hammers in a few shots to the head but Greg is holding him in close to prevent much damage so the ref stands the fighters to get the action going. Josh gets the fight back to the ground where he hammers in several shots to the head causing Greg to give up his back, Josh sinks in a rear naked choke and after a few seconds forces Greg to tap giving Josh the submission victory.
